Windows 10: Why are there compatibility issues between Windows Explorer and Kaspersky total security...

When running Kaspersky total security antivirus software some issues appear in the Windows Explorer ,Selecting in the side menu such as trying to open folder properties from the side menu.

Kaspersky Total Security and Windows Defender issues

I have Windows 10 and run Kaspersky Total Security. I have several issues now that I have Windows 10. A pop up window on the lower right tells me occasionally that Kaspersky and Windows Defender are turned off, I have turned off Windows Defender to
prevent conflicts, another window says that the computer cannot connect to the Kaspersky portal, finally, if I click on the Kaspersky icon a window pops up saying loading the app.

Nonsense! Kaspersky is what I have used and relied on before upgrading to Windows 10 and I still will on Kaspersky Total Security as it is the best Virus Protection I ever had since decades.

 

Kaspersky PURE 3 disappeared in windows 10

I had this exact issue. It turns out that for whatever reason Kaspersky Pure 3.0 just does not work in Windows 10. I didn't know myself, but I believe the new version of Pure 3.0 is called "Kaspersky Total Security" which is compatible with Windows 10.

Visit the following link from the Kaspersky website and download the version for whatever your computer is (PC or MAC)

Download Kaspersky Total Security | Kaspersky

No need to uninstall pure 3.0 if it happens to show up in your program list. After you download the file, just run the file and install the program. Total security should install over pure 3.0, transfer your license, and you should be all good to go as Total
security appears to be compatible with Windows 10. I just did that and I'm happily running Kaspersky Total Security now, with the same subscription/license retained as before when I had 3.0.

You will see listed that Kaspersky pure 3.0 is listed as an older version of Kaspersky Total Security.
