Windows 10: Why are there symbols instead of numbers in a few applications?

Hi, I've had this problem since i installed my old system drive into a new PC. In applications like EPO Equalizer, all of the tuning values and numbers are appearing as symbols instead of numbers. For Example: .. :: means 2024.05.15 00:02:54 is 012345, etc.I am learning to read these "numbers" and I've started to get use to it, though it's still pretty hard to read them at first glance.Is there a way that I can fix this problem? I've tried reinstalling the fonts, but that didn't help at all.

Symbols instead of readable words

Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft community.

This issue might occur if the document is corrupt or the file type is not associated with the right application.

I suggest you check if you are able to open in Word.

• 
  Download and save the document on the desktop.
  
• 
  Right click on the document, click on ‘Open with > Choose a program’.
  
• 
  Select ‘Word’ from the list of applications and click ‘OK’.
  
• 
  Check if the document opens up without any issue.

Bug Report - Bing Search Landscape - Keyboard - Symbols & Numbers - Enter button

Hi All,

I seemed to have come across a bug so I want to 1) report it 2) see if other people can reproduce the same bug.

This is what I do to trigger the bug from the home page:

• Press the standard search bottom on the bottom right of the screen
• Angle the phone so that it is on landscape mode
• Tap the search box
• Tap the numbers and symbols toggle on the bottom left
• Tap the right arrow/search button

Instead of executing the search, it will enter the '/' key instead.

My phone details are:

• Samsung Omnia 7
• OS 7.0.7004.0
• Firmware 2424.10.0.13
• Hardware 3.15.0.4

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to remove English UK and just have the default English US under keyboard input language and check.

Step 1:To keep English US as the default input language and to remove other installed services

a. Type Settings in the search bar and click on the setting symbol on the top right.

b. Click on Time and Languages.

c. Click on Region and Languages.

d. Under the languages tab.

e. Click and Change the language to English US.

Step 2:Use on screen keyboard to type the characters (@, “)

To use on-screen keyboard, follow the steps below.

a. Click on Start; type “On-screen” without quotes and hit Enter.

b. Now check if you’re able to get right characters.
