    usb monitors using graphics card

    Hi isaac177,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    1. May I know the model number of AOC display monitor?
    2. Is this the first time that you are trying to setup the display using HDMI?

You can try to use an adaptor (USB/HDMI or VGA as the card has 3 slots) to connect to monitor. I would also suggest you to get in touch with Nvidia to know more about this as there can be output issues while using adaptors and your Graphic card (GTX
1660 Ti) might not work as expected.

I suggest you to refer this
    NVidia
support link, and check if that helps.

    Regards,

New Monitor No Sound from HDMI

Just got a new monitor today, Samsung S24D300HL which I have plugged into my Nvidia Geforce GTX 745 video card via HDMI.

Picture is great no problems there. However I have no sound at all. I've updated my graphics driver via Nvidia Experience program version 361.43 I've right clicked and went to Nvidia control panel audio tab and my monitor was listed there as audio under HDMI still no sound. I've restarted the computer a couple times. Checked Windows update. Switch to a different HDMI cord and still no sound. I've right clicked the speaker in the taskbar and went to playback and what I have is. Nvidia HDMI Output (Port 0) and Nvidia HDMI Output (Port 1) both say not plugged in. I'm confused about the Port 0 and Port 1 because there is only one HDMI spot on the back of the card.

    Any help appreciated.
    Thank you

Upgrading Video Card But Not Monitors

I have the money to get a nVidia GTX 1060 6Gb card, but not the money to get new monitors.

I'm looking for a recommendation as to how to connect the monitors. The both have a VGA and DVI-D ports. The cards are usually 1 HDMI, 1 DVI and 3 DisplayPort.

    The choices I see are:

Connecting 1 monitor from the DVI-D to DVI and connecting the other from DVI-D to the HDMI with an adapter.

Other choice would be connect both monitors DVI-D to DisplayPort via an adapter.

Any ideas, opinions or educated guesses?

1 Audio channel on one audio card and rest over hdmi?: Hi, bit of a weird question: I need to output only the subWoofer channel using an audio card (audigy FX) connected to an external amplifier, and the rest of the channels FRONT/RIGHT over HDMI (TV Speaker). Is it doable? Thanks. submitted by /u/sim0ne82 [link] [comments]...
