Windows 10: Why are threads being locked; for example Print to PDF doesn't print pages in the right order.

Often when there is a problem with a Microsoft product people ask it in 'answers.microsoft.com. What actually helps is not what the Microsoft advisor refers to, but first you have to go to Settings, Devices, Printers and Scanners, Microsoft Print to PDF, click Manage, click Printer Properties. In the tab Advanced turn on the option Start printing after last page is spooled instead of Start printing immediately. Apply.

Then Shift select the pages in the right order from Windows Explorer and Right click with the 1st page selected Print. Only then it would work.

I would have liked to add this reply in the above thread so not another 15000 people read it (as they did so far) and get a useless reply (point 1) as of course it still malfunctions in W10 (point 2). But I can't (there) because it is locked. Why?

How can i print any page as PDF[ to save it as pdf and print later]
[PDFprinter/tinypdf in print option-i had this earlier but after new installation it's gone..]

i dont want to install additional software..any plugin or osmething for same?

Hi,
There are a number of reasons a thread may be locked.
threads are automatically locked after a few months of inactivity or may be locked sooner if they are attracting spam or unsavoury posts.

The thread you Mentioned is 2 and half years old, the original poster stopped engaging with the advisor perhaps because they found a solution.

They also imply that they have previously tried you suggestion, before posting in the community.
