Why are user preferences consigned to cheap regedit tricks?

It would have been trivially easy for Windows to have a slider to change the size of the thumbnail in alt tab. Instead, Microsoft responded to a vision impaired user's feedback from 2018 by making the thumbnail in alt tab span half of the **** resolution of the monitor... for all users. You literally built an accessibility feature into alt tab for blind people who can't **** read and now I have to scroll through pages of alt tab just to see where a fifth app is open if I am ever running more than four apps. THE POINT OF ALT TAB IS TO PREVIEW EVERYTHING THAT IS RUNNING, NOT HALF OF THE THINGS SO

Why are user preferences consigned to cheap regedit tricks?

Current active users that are friends

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.
