Windows 10: Why are Windows 10 updates so slow?

Having returned from a holiday I turned on one of my 3 PCs yesterday, simply to allow it to catch up with Windows updates. It was last updated 3 weeks ago.The PC spec is as follows: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB CPU: AMD FX-4130 @ 3.8GHz RAM: 2x 8GB 240 pin DDR3 non-ECC OS Hard Drive: Kingston A400 480GB SSD OS: Windows 10 Home Version: 22H2 OS Build: 19045.4529 Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19058.1000.0Not modern or fast technology by todays standards, but adequate for my needs. It WILL NOT run Windows 11. Also, my internet connection is via 4G, so download speeds d

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.
