    Why are windows and programs working slow when efficinecy cores on 12900k are fully loaded?


    So I am doing rendering with solidworks visualize 2021 and it uses only atom cores on intel 12900k processor. Other 8/16 cores are still completly unloaded. It appears that programs are being processed with fully loaded atom cores which is causing them to freeze or work really slow. Basically even if I put a program in foreground it would eventually freeze for some 20 seconds and then start working fast again. Windows 11 integrated picture viewer is also working slow in foreground. Is there a solution to this?

    Help! Windows Loads Too Slow.

    If the board doesn't fully support the CPU it might be working in fail-safe mode (800Mhz), that might be the reason for the slow boot.

    Boot into Windows and run CPU-Z to check your processor speed. If CnQ is enabled it should run at 800Mhz but once it gets loaded it should go up. Run a program like Intel Burn Test or OCCT to load the processor and check your speeds.
