Windows 10: Why are windows borders still white even with the dark mode on?

Dark mode is great and it's been needed for years, but for some reason it doesn't apply to all of Windows. As you can see in the screenshot, the window borders of these software are still white even though the dark mode is on. This happen to many other programs, especially the ".exe" ones it doesn't seem to affect most of the apps. How do I fix this?Thank you.

White Border Around Snaped Apps on the Desktop

Thanks for that recommendation. However, I do not wish to change the title bar color, and those 2 options are on the same toggle switch. Furthermore, MS Teams does not take any settings from that toggle switch, it's border settings must override that switch. So, what we are left with is snapped apps have a bright white border, which on dark mode apps, looks strange. Non-snapped apps have the border set correctly and is a very slightly lighter color border than the dark mode app. Shows in my screenshot above.

 

How Do I Fix the File Explorer Window Border in the Light App Mode?

the problem is that the light mode windows in your first screenshot do have a border, but it is white and merges with the window background.

in dark mode the border is black but the window background is dark grey, so the border is still visible.

i'm afraid that the only way is to change the accent colour to something other than black or white.

make sure that "automatically pick an accent colour from my background" is not ticked.

then choose a colour from the palette a mid grey might be easy on the eye.

White Borders To Album Artwork Windows 10

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this procedure but it has had no effect at all so the problem persists.

Since asking the original question I have downloaded some albums from amazon and added these to the Music folder and the white border has appeared on those albums as well so it would appear it is only artwork added by WMP which is not affected.
