Windows 10: Why are your updates changing the settings on my computer and adding AI without permission?

If I have my computer set NOT to receive those stupid widgets, then you do an update and turn it back on, you are violating MY computer! You have every right to do an update, but you have NO right to change MY settings! You installed that stupid AI c-r-a-p CoPilot, and you do NOT allow for a setting to turn it off. I did not want it, I still do not want it, and I never gave you permission. Your updates should not supersede the settings I have established on my system, and I am tired of you doing it anyway. I do not want your c-r-a-p and I am sick and tired of Microsoft thinking they can

• Are you trying to give permission to particular files and folders?

I suggest you to follow the below step and check if it helps.

1. Once you choose the file that you want to give permission, right click on it.
2. Click on properties and go to security tab, check whether any permission have been set.
   
3. After you have viewed the permissions that are already set, you can now click on the Advanced Button that is right below the "Permissions for Authenticated Users"
   
4. Once you have clicked Advanced, a box like this should appear, the "Permission Entries" box, which shows all the permissions that are set for the users. Now, after you have spotted the user whose permissions you wish to change, click "Change Permissions.
5. Click on the user you would like to edit, and then click the option that says "Change Permissions" which is right below the box.
6. Once that is clicked, you are going to get the same box pop up, but this time, you can actually edit the options. You do that by clicking the "Administrators" user again, and this time, you are going to click the "Edit" option.

Chage in permission settings after the update

Thank you for the update.

I would like to let you know that if you are using Microsoft account, by default it will ask for the password to access the desktop. You will not be able to disable the password login.

I would like to inform you that it is recommended to activate the password even for idle timeout for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps. This steps are for Local account.

• Go to settings.
• Click on accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
  
• Change it to never.

Also follow the below steps: Please follow the below steps, if you would like sign in to a user account without password.

• 
  Press Windows + R.
  
• 
  Type netplwiz.exe
  
• 
  Uncheck this box “Users must enter a username and password to use this computer” and press apply.
  
• 
  Automatically sign in password box prompts. Write your Password twice and press OK.
  

I would also like to know whether you had encrypted the hard drive using Bit locker.
