  3. What does mrt.exe /RE

I understand what mrt.exe is my question is What is the switch /re accomplish? Does it write a log file? Does it force a reboot. Why does it nedd access to the c drive. MRT is only a system file correct? Running mrt.exe /r /re request admin account
ruining mrt.exe /r does not. What do this hidden switches do?

cleanmgr.exe is run from the DiskCleanup task in Task Scheduler at boot.

What is mrt.exe? The Microsoft Removal Tool scans your computer for some of the most common infections. If you turn on Automatic Updates in Windows, this tool will be downloaded and run on the second Tuesday of each month. It runs silently in the background unless it finds an infection. This is an effective tool, but it cannot be considered a replacement for a real anti-virus program.

It must start out of Task Manager but I can't find it.

Hmmm, as Administrator I get 148 tasks, otherwise I get 117. Interesting. Need to compare and see what's different.

That's the same type of difference i see.
I created a shortcut with Run as administrator so i should always see the most tasks when i run this program.
I didn't try to compare to see the differences.
