    Why Avast is giving idp.generic error on my Windows Computer?


    I recently downloaded a file but when I open it I get error such as this file is not available. I use Avast Antivirus which gave me idp.generic error.I read this article - https://marketedly.com/idp-generic/ but I was not able to understand how to solve this issue

    Protecting the computer (windows defender,avast, etc)?

    Agreed with Firefox w/ Adblock Plus and NoScript. I suggest Antivir. Very trustworthy Antivirus and is less resource hogging the avast. Takes up about 40mb with guard enabled and 30mb with guard disabled.
