Windows 10: Why can I connect Win 10 laptop directly to ONT but Windows 11 laptop will not connect?

I am looking to test my internet speed without going through my router. I have fiber using a Calix 722GE ONT. I am able to directly connect testing purposes only using my older Windows 10 laptop, yet when I try to connect using my newer Win 11 laptop, I get error about not finding DHCP. I do not understand why one will connect yet the other one will not. Is there some network setting that I am missing? I know the NIC in the Win 11 laptop is functioning as I have tested using Ethernet to router. Since my Win10 laptop only has 100MB Ethernet, it does not help me test higher internet speeds. My

hi there does anny one know how i can directly connect my laptop to my pc and send files over and my laptop also got wireles connection can i use this fuction to my pc to while there connected with a network cable?
so this is the setup i want to have

Modem <> pc <> laptop <> (laptop wireless)
with out using a router

 

Win10 Laptop Can't Connect to New iPhone 11

Just upgraded from iPhone 6s. USB connection sees all photos on the 6. But on the 11, usb connection shows barely 1 dozen out of thousands of photos. Laptop does not have iTunes installed. I connected both once by Bluetooth which went as expected but I didn't know what to do in Windows so I shut down overnight. Now in Bluetooth, iPhone 11 says it sees laptop and it's connected, but Win 10 laptop cannot see iphone device at all, but does see neighbors' devices, does not show iPhone 11 as either a drive or as a network device. Is there some Win10 registry sabotage here? Did I somehow tell Win10 never to see or connect to this iphone? Any ideas about how to get full connectivity? I've cold booted both devices repeatedly. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Trying to connect printer on network

I have a USB printer connected directly to my Windows 10 laptop. I would like to share this printer with a Windows 11 laptop. The Win 10 laptop is connected to the network via Ethernet; the Win 11 laptop is connected via WiFi. How can I make the printer connected to the Win 10 laptop available to the Win 11 laptop through WiFi?
