Windows 10: Why can I no longer view screenshots in the Pictures folder under 'screenshots'? win10

I have searched and the remedy is so complicated and do not have the time or incling to attempt.Also I have been HOUNDED to upgrade to win 11 and do not want to do this...my computor does not have enough space in any case. I have the option and do not want to upgrade... when using my computer it just seems to keep trying to downloadwin 11....so irritatiing, just look at the problems you are causing users..Totally fed up with microsoft....Need a positive resolution please to these two big problems.Many thanksJon

Screenshots no longer automatically saved in Screenshots folder

For nearly 3 years, the PRT SC (print screen) button on my HP Envy laptop automatically saved screenshots in a folder called Screenshots. While I still have functionality of clicking PRT SC and can then paste the image by CTRL-V, the images are no longer
automatically being saved in the Screenshots folder or any folder as far as I can tell. What changed and how can this be fixed? I use DropBox, not OneDrive, so please no suggestions re OneDrive. Thanks.

I'm very sorry to hear about the issue of your missing screenshots folder. One thing I'd like to confirm with you is, if you take a screenshot again, will the screenshots folder reappear?

To take a screenshot on your Surface Pro 4, follow these steps:

1. Full-screen screenshot: Press the Power button and the Volume Up button simultaneously. This will take a screenshot of your entire screen and save it to the Screenshots folder in your Pictures library.
   
2. Snipping Tool: Open the Snipping Tool app from the Start menu. This app allows you to take a screenshot of a specific area on your screen. Once you capture a screenshot, you can save it to any folder you want.
   

This will help us determine if there's an issue with the function.

It probably just would create a new Screenshots folder to replace the one you moved from the Pictures folder and save screenshots there, but the auto-saving function would work regardless.

If you're sure to move your screenshots to a different directory, what you can do is go to the Pictures folder then right-click that Screenshots folder, and hit Properties. Go to the Location tab, then once you know wherever you want to move your screenshots
to, hit Move..., find the directory, navigate to where you want to put it, make a new folder if you wish, then left-click the folder once, and hit Select Folder.
