why can i not download messages from 2023 or earlier from phone link to my pc ? it is feb 2024band I can't go back past jan 2024. I am trying to read messages from earlier on the PC but they are not migrating back past January. I am also not getting all of the conversations. I have nearly a 100 people I have texted and the older ones are not even showing up so I can't send them new messages from the PC I have to go back to the phone. Using android 'messages' app as I understand this is the standard messaging app on the phone.

Deleting messages from PC Phone Link App

Unfortunately, there's no way to delete a message from the Phone Link app yet. I believe the intention of having the messages in Phone Link is to view and reply quickly using the PC but they haven't included yet the deletion of SMS.

I suggest you submit this feedback in Phone Link's settings > Feedback & Community.

If you have a Samsung device, you can open the messaging app thru Apps in Phone Link to fully access your device.

How can I disable the "Link your Phone and PC" notification in Windows 10?

The new "Continue on PC" feature that came with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update also includes a notification that pops up saying "Link your Phone and PC". Answering no or clearing the notification gets rid of it, but after some amount of time and/or a reboot, it continuously comes back.

Presumably, if you actually install the app to link your phone it will stop giving you the notification, and I am also aware that you can completely disable suggestion notifications; however, I do not wish to use the phone link feature and I would prefer not to disable all future suggestions, as I could possibly be interested in one of them. Is there a way to specifically disable a single specific suggestion notification?

I noticed that when you click on the link in the text message sent to link your phone it takes you to Microsoft Launcher rather than Your Phone Companion. Microsoft Launcher totally changes the display on your phone. I downloaded Your Phone Companion manually from Google Play after linking the PC rather than using Microsoft Launcher.
