Windows 10: Why can I not remove my School or Work account from my PC?

So I recently built a new PC but when I logged in with my microsoft account, it had my School account in the School or Work account tab and it downloaded school software. I also have a personal laptop for school that is logged in with the same Microsoft account.I am running an unactivated version of Windows 10 Home as it will not allow me to activate my windows version because of the school account, which is why I am trying to get rid of it.I've tried to remove it by clicking the 'disconnect' option but after it loads it just comes back. I've tried the 'sign-out everywhere' option on my schoo

Remove Deactivated Work Or School Email Account

I have an organizational email account that has been deactivated, current guides online say the following:

"If you need to remove an account from your PC:

1. Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Access work or school .
   
2. Select the account you wish to remove, then select Disconnect
   
   ...."
   

However, the only option presented at this section is "Manage" which forwards me to my organization's page to login. The account has since been deactivated with no way to get to the next step.
I have been getting notifications from my system that "There is a problem with a work or school account click her to fix now" but obviously can't login to remove the account from the system.
Is there a work around to remove the account without logging in?

I am Dave, I will help you with this,

Open the Settings App.

Go to Accounts.

Select Emails and Accounts, if the school Email is listed there, remove it.

Select Access Work or School, if the school Email is listed there, remove it.

Close the Settings App and restart (not shut down) your PC.

 

Cant remove work/school account

for past few hours i've been trying to remove my school account but sadly no luck so far.

it just keeps telling me "this work or school account cannot be removed by system policy"

i tried signing in with a local account and then disconnecting my school account but that did not work.

whats driving me crazy is that same method worked on my laptop but will not work on my pc for some reason.
