Windows 10: Why can I not see my son as a family member when I sign in my Family Safety account, but he...

I have added my son as family member, but I cannot see his account when I sign in. But when he sign in his account, he can see me as the family organizer and see himself as family member. How can I fix this? When I try to invite him to join family again, it says he is already a member of this family. If he wants to rejoin, he needs to leave the family and rejoin, which his account restricts from doing so because of the settings I put in when I set his account up. How can I fix this issue?

broken "family member needs to sign in"

Parental controls stopped working. Family.Microsoft.com has alert: "Your family member needs to sign in to their Windows 10 device AngLaptop2014 for family features to work.

But the "how to fix this" says

• Select Accounts > Family & other people
• Under Your family, select your family member, then select Allow
• Have your family member sign in with their Microsoft account if asked to

And the steps don't apply. The account is already allowed, and there is no option to change that.

Now what???

Hello Robelene, Sorry for the late replay, I was on a business trip with no access to the family pc.

I am not sure I understood your instructions. I try to explain what I did and I kindly ask you to be a bit more detailed.

My family has three members: me (adult), my son (child) and my daughter (child). On the "Family & Other People" under "Settings" I set my son account as "Can sign in" and account type "Standard". My daughter is set as "can't sign in"

When you ask me to try to remove and re-add my son's account:

• I went to the Family Safety web site and I deleted my son.
• I returned on the "Family & Other People" under "Settings" of the pc and I saw my son account was not display any more.
• I restarted the PC
• I went again on the Family Safety web site and I added my son account
• I confirm the addition in the email
• I returned on the "Family & Other People" under "Settings" and I saw his account listed there
• I set it as "Can sign in"
• I tried but no results bug is still there.

Is this what you expected me to do?

Can't add a new member to Family Safety account

Recently, I'm not able to add a new member account to a Family Safety account. Organizer *** Email address is removed for privacy *** New member account that I can't add *** Email address is removed for privacy *** The error message is Something went wrong on our end. Give it a few minutes, then try again. TracelD: 6dbXxlrxKE2+kZuo.10.357 Support is asked me to create a request here.

Things that already tired.

1. I logged to Family Safety account on a different laptop.

2. I logged to Family Safety account on a different laptop in Private mode in Firefox/Edge

3. I used android app to add a new family member but got an error message ( You can't invite a family member. We've detected some unusual activity. You will have to wait before you can resend an invite)

I already have 5 members on the my account ( 2 organizers and 3 member kid accounts). Any suggestions how to solve the problem?
