Windows 10: Why can't I activate the screen recorder with the Windows + Alt + G combination?

A few days ago I formatted my laptop because it was failing, but until then the screen recorder was still working, after that the Windows store no longer appeared among my apps to be able to install other apps, whether extensions or new ones. So far I haven't found a problem with this, but recently I tried to record a meeting and every time I tried with the combination I got a message saying "You need a new app to open this link to ms-gamingoverlay". How can I solve this? I use a Windows 10 laptop***Moved from Windows / Windows 10 / Microsoft Store***

Record entire screen using Game Bar

Hello everyone, my challenge is how to make the game (screen) recorder to capture whatever/everything/anything that is being done on my screen. So far I have observed that the Win+G function only captures what is being done only on
the active window when the function was launched.

For instance, when screenshotting, there are two basic ways namely:

• Screenshot of active window only = Alt + PrtScr
• Screenshot of entire screen = PrtScr

I'm looking for the screen video recording equivalent of these two commands (if such exist). Does anyone know a command that will allow a user to record video of the entire screen, or do I have to rely on a third-party application to
do that?

To activate Game DVR you have to press the Windows + G keys and a bar with buttons will open: the Xbox button that starts the Xbox app for Windows 10, an icon that when pressed makes screenshots in image format, another icon that creates Game clips, the button
to record and stop the video recording.

If Game DVR is not activated with that key combination or if you want to start and stop recording from the keyboard without the need of a button bar, you will have to use the Windows + ALT + R key to start the video recording and press that combination of keys
again to stop it. The screen will flash at the start and end so you can see that you have activated and deactivated it correctly. If you only want to capture a static image, use Windows key + Alt + Imp Pant.

If Game DVR is not activated you will have to go to the Xbox application and in Settings> Game DVR check that the option Record games clips and screenshots with Game DVR is activated. From this configuration menu you can also know in which folder the captures
have been saved in image or video format (Save traps> Open folder) although by default they are recorded in the Videos> Captures folder.

 

The two Alt keys doesn't work in combinations

Hi, I would like to solve this annoying windows prank (windows 10 in my case)

The two Alt keys no longer work for me in "custom combinations" of keys and not even in ctrl-alt-del.

- I have no virus

- the right Alt key works in the combination of special characters @#][

- the left Alt key works in combination with F4 etc.

- the left Alt key works in combination with the letters for the virtual click of the applications menu items

- the left Alt key works in combination with the numeric keypad keys for special characters

- as an alternative to crtl-alt-del i use ctrl-shift-esc and i access the task manager without problems

- if I use the "on-screen keyboard" of windows I can access the "custom combinations" and the ctrl-alt-del

as I repeat, the two Alt keys (physically pressed) no longer work only in the ctrl-alt-del and "custom combinations"

I have done many tests suggested by various google results and, moreover, currently, as soon as I start windows and using the Alt keys, only for the first time after switching on they emit a "whistle" from windows, this as surely result of one of the tests.
