Windows 10: Why can't I change the paper type to photo paper on my printer? Windows 11 problem.

And the paper size only offers North American 4x6, not Inkjet Photo Paper 4x6 or HP Inkjet Paper 4x6. The photos printed have horrible streaks, completely unusable. There's no way to change anything. It's set to high quality. The drop down where it shows Plain Paper has no other options. It should have Inkjet Photo paper at

In addition, I noticed this is also using the silly IPP printer driver again. I had a problem where it wouldn't print in color, I had to uninstall the IPP driver. Now again the IPP driver is back. This is virus like behavior. My printer's driver should be used, not some limited basic driver.

What a random thing to break in Windows 11. Photo printing was working great as long ago as Windows 7. I'm totally confused.

What do I need to do to get photo printing on 4x6 inkjet PHOTO paper to work again? I have a Brother all in one printer.

 

Printer prints blank if paper type set to Plain

What makes this strange is that you are having the same problem with two totally different printers. Is there anything unique about the paper you are using? I always used cheap copy paper with my inkjet printers. The only exception is envelopes, thicker card stock or photo paper which works OK too.
