Windows 10: Why can't I change the status of threats and how do I find information about allowed threats?

Hello, While creating a local backup via FTP, Defender found several potential files that I automatically quarantined. Subsequently, I restored them. However, their status can no longer be changed. it is also not possible to change the status of the last allowed. I also need to find out information about Allowed Threats. For some, you can tell from the name that it concerns a program, for example, but for these two it isn't at all clear. If I click oneIf I click on See DetailsIf I click on Learn more, the browser will openAnyway, I even found out what it was all about.Please helpThank you

Is restoring a quarantined threat the same as allowing the threat?

My Windows defender scan reported a threat last week. I quarantined it. After a few days, I updated my defender virus definitions, restored the threat, and ran another scan (because I wanted to find out if it was a false positive). This new scan did not
report any threat.

However, under defender's threat history, allowed items, I see this threat listed. I do NOT want to allow the threat, just wanted to find out if the latest definitions would still reported the file as a threat. How should I do that? Thank you. I am using
windows 10.

Thanks XP. My exclusion list is empty, and the only options on my threat history are "allow" and "clear history" (please see my screen shot above). How do I tell if I have whitelisted the threat please? Thanks.

 

Threat detection Options confusion

Hello,

I had a virus on my PC and windows defender quarantined it.

But I clicked on the “Action” button and has three options: Removes , Restore , and Allow

I clicked on Remove, but the threat status changed to: “threat removed or restored “

Which is confusing.

I then clicked again on the “Action” button and only 1 option appeared which is “ Allowed” I mistakenly Clicked on. But then I removed it from the “ allow history “

So my question:

• does allowing a “ removed or restored” threat means releasing it again in the PC or it means only allowing the future similar threat?

Because I run a scan after i removed it from allow history and nothing is detected.

I’m very confused. I would appreciate help.
