Saving a copy of an edited picture in Photos

There are different possible causes as to why the "Save a Copy" feature you have been using in Photos app would stop working normally. This may be related to settings we need to correct or corrupted files. For us to resolve this concern, kindly follow the
steps below to run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter:

• In the Windows search bar type in the word troubleshooting.
• Once the results show up select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Choose Windows Store Apps.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the steps.

Cannot copy a few selected photos from Iphone to PC Windows 10

  How did you try to copy the photos?
  

I suggest you to try copying the photos by following the below steps:

• Connect the iPhone to Windows 10
  computer
• Close the prompted window
• Press Windows + E key on the keyboard (it will show the phone as drive)
• Now you can copy and paste the pictures & videos into your Windows drive.

Windows 10 Photos - Stuck on Save Screen

Thanks for your reply. In my case the Photos app works fine for photos on my PC but not for those on my USB stick when both Save and Save a Copy stick.

Your suggestion to right click the required photo (either in icon or text form) > "Edit with Photos" (instead of double clicking the photo > Edit and Create > Edit) works with my USB stick. However while your suggested method is quicker when editing a single photo, I still have to return to the main file list to repeat the process if editing several photos. There are no arrows on the USB edit screen to move forward or back to the next photo as there are on the PC edit screen .
