Windows 10: why can't I create a password for my computer?

Hey everyone. This is a question I've been seeking an answer to for a couple years now, and I have decided to cut my losses and ask the internet. So the predicament that I am in currently is that my ASUS tuf gaming fts laptop which is running windows 10 home edition will not let me sign on to my device with a password, only by using a pin. I want to change it to password sign on, but it says in the sign-on options that I cannot do that. In fact, I can't choose anything. Even the "password" option is not available for sign in on my device. I want to post a picture of my sign-on options but it

  A password reset disk can only be created for local user accounts. If your computer is on a domain, a system administrator can reset your domain password. For Microsoft accounts you can reset the password by following the steps below
  
  • Sign in to your Microsoft account, then select
    Security & privacy.
  • Select Change password.
  • Enter your current password, then the new password that you want to use, then enter the new password again.

Try the following steps to create a password reset disk for a local user account.

• Login to your computer using the local account you want to create a password reset disk for.
• Insert a USB drive or SD card into the computer.
• Type Create a password reset disk and select it
• Click Next.
• Select the location to create the password key disk and click Next.
• Enter your account password and click Next.
• Click Next, then click Finish.

Upgrading to windows 10 suddenly creates a password to my computer???

I understand your concern and frustration you have been through. I will be glad to assist you.

If you are using a Microsoft Account you cannot remove password because of the security reasons. I would suggest you to create a new local account from which you can log in and avoid login password and pin. Follow the steps below.

Refer the link below and create new Local account.

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support

Follow the steps below to avoid log in password.

• Press “Windows Key + R”.
• Type “netplwiz”.
• And select the Local account and uncheck the option "user must enter user name and password to use this computer".

Note: Once you've successfully changed the password, redo the process of creating the password reset disk. Should you prefer the exact password that you have now, you can still do so prior to completing the process of creating the password reset disk. To
do this, you can perform the following:

• Complete the password reset and go through the process of creating the password reset disk.
• When you're no longer prompted by the error, cancel the process of creating the password reset disk.
• Reset your local account password back to your desired information.
• Complete the process of creating the password reset disk.
