Windows 10: Why can't I disable password requirements for windows 10 home?

I'm trying to remove password complexity requirements for my user account on windows 10 home. 2 days ago it forced me to set a new "complex" password to login to my home computer, but I have no need for a complex password on my home computer. I have followed all steps on this forum to remove it, with no success. Most of the guides are geared towards windows 10 Pro anyway, even in the Microsoft FAQ, advising use of snap-ins I don't have. I have run elevated commands in the command prompt, and I have exported my secconfig.cfg to verify that my settings are correct.Password complexity = 0Minimum

Enable Require password on Wake up Windows 10

To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest disabling and
enabling the Require a password on wakeup settings on your power plan
by following the steps below:

• Open the Advanced power settings for your current chosen
  power plan.
• Click on the Change settings that are currently unavailable link.
• Set the Require a password on wakeup settings to Yes
  or No, and click on OK.

Once done with the steps, let us know how it goes.

I have tried all of the suggestions with no luck. What Now?
