    Why cant I enable local security authority protection?


    Hi all,I opened my pc today to see a warning in my windows defender, stating local security authority protection is turned off. I clicked the "settings" button underneath the warning to look into it, but instead it came up with an error saying something about it not being supported.I googled "local security authority protection is turned off" to try and get more information. However, under my device security tab in my windows defender, the is no option relating to local security authority protection whatsoever. In fact, it says "standard hardware security not supported"I dont know what any of

    Local Security Authority protection Bug?

    Open an admin Command Prompt and run these two commands:

    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPL" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPLBoot" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    Restart Windows. That should clear the yellow exclamation warning.
