Windows 10: Why can't I get that verification code on messages?

I've been trying to redeem something from microsoft rewards for a few weeks now. I typed my number in again and again, i reset my phone, I turned filter unknown messages off, but I somehow still don't get the code.

I see you've already followed some steps.

I was reading your answers and I have a suggestion for you.

I once tried to get a verification code on my phone and it said the code was sent but I never received it.

I updated the messaging app and it still didn't help.

I followed some other steps and it didn't help.

My only solution was to remove my SIM Card and put it in another old phone that I no longer used and asked to resend the code and then the verification code arrived perfectly.

This might be a solution for you.

I understand you're not receiving a verification code for your Microsoft account. If your security info's are up to date, you may be experiencing delays receiving the code which I have also experienced before. But if you have already waited too long and have made a couple of attempts, I suggest following the suggested steps in the "Troubleshooting verification code issues" section on the support page below.
