Windows 10: Why can't I go back to a previous version of Windows 10?

So, ever since installing the Windows 10 Fall Creator Update, I've had an issue with attempting to run Startisback along with the UXThemePatcher. More importantly, the Fall Creator Update made my wi-fi card (T-Link Archer T6E V1) unable to work correctly and I had no reason to suspect this upon buying it.


Microsoft, you really, really need to get your crap under control. If your updates are going to break my stuff, then it's your responsibility to make sure I can rollback to a point when my software/hardware WAS working.


I don't want the generic "Have you tried using the troubleshooter and seeing what it says?" I tried that. I wouldn't be on here if I hadn't wasted over an hour trying to Google why my newly bought wi-fi card wasn't working just to find out apparently your update last year messed everything up.


Both your policies and implementations are becoming increasingly user UNfriendly. Honestly, if I had another option for OS that WASN'T Mac, and Linux didn't have way too many distributions to be accessible, I'd have stopped using Windows after Windows 8 came out. Please stop insulting your customers with these heavy-handed and not-at-all necessary policies and updates that ultimately just create more problems if you're not going to at least let us rollback. It's that simple. Don't force us to deal with unworking hardware/software. The customer-service people don't deserve it and your CUSTOMERS need options.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

restoring previous version of windows on windows phone

Recently I have upgraded my windows 8.1 phone to windows 10 phone. But I am not comfortable with this version and wants to rollback to my previous version windows 8.1.

Please help me and suggest the steps.

I would appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down the issue.

• When the computer did froze? Is it when you tried to roll back?
• Did you receive any error message?

I suggest you to remove all the external devices plugged in to the computer and check if it helps to resolve the issue. If the issue persists, please restart the computer and check whether it rolled back or not. If it loads Windows 10,
I suggest you to download the latest ISO of Windows 10 and perform automatic repair.

Steps to perform repair:

a) Insert the installation DVD or USB
and boot Windows 8 from it.

b) In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’ and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.

c) Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.

d) Click on ‘Advanced options’ and select ‘Automatic Repair’ and select the operating system.
