    [Windows 10] Can't Hear People in Xbox Party When Connected To External Monitor

    When I'm in an Xbox party (using the Xbox console companion applicatIon), I can hear other people just fine. However, when I connect my laptop to an external monitor via an HDMI cable, I can't hear other people in the party anymore, although they can hear
    me just fine. All other audio works when connected to the external monitor, except other people in my party for some reason. When I switch the display over, for a split second I can hear my party members, but then it goes back to silence.

    I cannot hear any on my friends on the Xbox app or discord on my PC.

    I can’t hear anyone on the Xbox app or discord on my PC with windows 11. They can hear me, and it shows everyone’s mics picking up, but I can’t hear them. I can hear sound effects and everything else, and I could even have a conversation with people in game chat on games that had it, but I can’t hear anyone in an Xbox party or discord server.

    people can hear me but i can't hear them

    no matter what im on, i can't hear people whether it is games or discord or skype, doesn't matter. I use a Xbox one controller as a adapter for my headset as it is only a single jack headset. In game i can hear everything else, just not voices. music and audio works fine. I tried troubleshooting audio but it didn't detect any issue. I don't wnat to have to drop 30 dollars on a jack splitter. any ideas?
