Windows 10: Why can't I log back into my personal Microsoft account for my laptop when I am logged in...

I just received a Lenovo laptop for work. I originally tried setting it up with my work email, but it kept saying that the account could not be found. Then I just caved and used my personal email and signed in with no access to the apps due to my email being on my personal laptop and I don't need office, excel, etc. on that. I then tried to get rid of my personal account with no luck. Now I am stuck in the Local Account and when I try to log back into my personal Microsoft account for the laptop it keeps saying password is incorrect, it is not... I am trying to see if I can have the laptop set

Just simply log in with your Microsoft Account.
Switch to Microsoft Account in Windows 10

Just go back to using a local account:

How to log into personal account in Microsoft Store

I'm trying to log into my personal account in Microsoft Store, because I purchased an app on it but when I'm trying to log in, it forces me to log in with my educational profile an there's no option to log into personal account so I have no access to the app and Microsoft Store.

 

Logging into Microsoft on a refurb laptop

I have just purchased a refurbished laptop (from a reputable supplier), but can’t get past the Microsoft log in window which says: ‘Let’s get things set up for your work or school’

It won’t accept my personal Microsoft email details, OR my work Microsoft details.

When I enter my personal Microsoft account details it says: ‘You can’t sign in here with a personal account. Use your work or school account instead.’

When I enter work info it says: ‘Something went wrong. That username looks like it belongs to another organisation. Try signing in again with a different account.’

I’m not very technical, but does this suggest the laptop hasn’t been fully ‘cleaned down’ (sorry for the non-technical language), and there is still some Microsoft 365 / Office software that I can’t get passed to get logged onto the laptop?
