Windows 10: Why can't i make my win11 hotspot pick WEP

i want to connect my win11 laptop to dslite for ds-ftp. but it need WEP/open network.i forgot what tutorial it was to limit the hotspot connection, i set it to 1 instead of 5.now i see in dslite it detect it as WEP, but idk how to get the WEP key.pls allow WEP/Open hotspot like android on windows hotpot Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2

Creating a WEP or unsecured hotspot on windows 10

Hi,

I'd like to create a WEP or unsecured mobile hotspot from my windows 10 laptop. I understand that this is insecure and not recommended however I want to use it to connect a device (a nintendo DS) to the internet that does not support proper WPA security, and having this as my windows hotspot is the best option (as it allows me to easily turn off the network when the DS is not in use).

However, creating a hotspot through the menu or through the netsh command both create a hotspot that is using WPA encryption. Is there any way to create an unencrypted or WEP hotspot in windows 10?

WEP Encryption Completely Broken

i use a mac access list on my router,no wep or nothing.if the persons mac addy aint on my routers list.......goodbye.

 

WiFi Sharing changing security, WEP/open

How can I change the WiFi hotspot sharing on my laptop from WPA2 to WEP or and open connection, I have a qualcomm atheros qca9377 WiFi card and a Lenovo laptop
