Windows 10: Why can’t I move my iCloud Photos from my computer to my external hard drive?

I’m trying to move/copy my iCloud Photos on my computer to my portable hard drive I purchased to free up space on my computer however for some reason, it’s not allowing me to move the folder/pictures over to my hard drive. Not sure why it says “there is not enough space on windows” even though I’m dragging the photos to my passport portable hard drive that has 2TB. Need some help

Steps:

1. Open regedit (Win+R, "regedit")
2. Enter key in address bar
3. Deprecate key
   • Opt A. - delete
   • Opt B. - rename something different (e.g. prefix with "_")
4. Close and re-open to observe result

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{F0D63F85-37EC-4097-B30D-61B4A8917118}

External Hard Drive

Hi John,

We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

• Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
• Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.

The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.
