Windows 10: Why can't I open/find the Microsoft Authenticator app on Windows 10?

I downloaded the "Microsoft Authenticator" app on my PC but it does not show up in my list of active downloads? Is it only for Mobile devices? I read the app description and it said Windows x64 and x86 were both supported so I clicked "Get" and now when I navigate to "All Microsoft" < "Software" < "Windows apps" the Microsoft Authenticator app doesn't show up with an "Open" option like I would expect it to. It doesn't show up at all.
