Windows 10: Why can't I remove stuff from exceptions on Windows 10?

I downloaded some programs recently, and bad stuff happend: I got viruses! Trying to remove them, I checked on the exceptions menu, and found the viruses whitelisted. Of course I tried removing them but I couldn't. The 'remove' button was dark, meaning it is not working; I cannot remove those. I tried searching for help, couldn't find anything helpfull. Any suggestions?Removing the programs also did not work.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Shortcut key for "My Stuff" ?

Using Windows 10, here's the steps I'm taking to search for files on the computer:

• Click Start Menu (or tap the Windows key on the keyboard)
• Start typing a search term
• Click "My Stuff"
• When it finds your file, click it to make the file open
• If you want to open File Explorer and peruse similar files without opening files:
  • After clicking "My Stuff" (in Step 3) go to the bottom area under "Other places to look" and click "File Explorer"
  • File Explorer opens
  
  Question: I don't want to use the mouse to click "My Stuff" in step 3. Is there a shortcut key?
