Windows 10: Why can't I save a trimmed clip?

Hello, when using the Movies and Video's app to watch a clip and afterwards trying to trim it down which takes you to the photos app, I get this message when trying to save the new clip. I was able to do so about a month or so ago and thought I'd try again now but it's still the same issue. Is there anyway to fix this? For some reason I can't upload the image, but it says "Unable to save There was an error while saving. Please try again later." in a yellow box above.

Can you undo a trim from the Xbox DVR trim option or is it permanent once the trimming/trimmed clip is applied?

I had a clip that I wanted to post, but there's this clip I want to omit a section of it. The trim option looks suspicious and weird, so I tried the "Save Copy" option and it save a different file but in it has the clip that I wanted to omit. Also, I made
another copy of from the omitted video and trim it once again, and I have no idea if there's like an undo option if I ever wanted to go back or not lose the original video.

 

Microoft Photos App - cannot save trimmed video clips anymore

I have windows 10 and have had no problems with trimming videos using the ms photo app until this week. The layout and screen is now totally different (smaller and less icons) to what it was a couple of weeks ago. I have tried to reset the app using advanced features, as well as selecting repair the app too. I have checked previous posts about this but the solutions are not working.

I only want to use the app to trim and save clips from video footage to process content videos.

Something has happened, possibly an update as everything was operating perfectly the other week.

I have also downloaded the older photo legacy app but the same fault occurs and the screen shows the golden spinning circle which stays on until i cancel and exit the program.

If I transfer the video files direct into my video editing software (PS elements) and trim them there the rendering time is increased to an unacceptable level, e.g 8 second clip 2 minutes...

Can anyone advise on how to get the photo app to start saving trimmed clips.

When i trim clips in Films and TV, I can only save a copy when i used to be able to just save the clip and i have no idea why its changed. Any help would be appreciated!

A few months ago when i would trim clips i would be able to just save the clip over the full video, but now I can only make a copy of the video but with the trimmed part only. No idea why
