Windows 10: why can't I scroll or check for updates on windows education?

I have windows 10 education 19044 on an hp G62 machine that was upgraded to 64 bits.before that I had Zorin OS only installed on the machine and the mousepad was working perfectly well, but suddenly after using the product key and upgrading I had a new Windows installed but I didn't use it, I used the product key almost instantly, I can no longer scroll, there isn't scroll settings or check for updates settings, when I search for them in settings, nothing comes up. touchpad settings only show sensitivity settings, nothing else. I tried updating and reinstalling the driver multiple times alr

Do let us know if your touchpad functionality is fine other than the mentioned issue?

As you are facing issues with scroll options in few of the applications on Windows 10. Try the below and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to change the mouse & touchpad settings and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key, type mouse
  and select Mouse & touchpad settings.
• Choose appropriately with the following options and check if the issue persists.

• Roll the mouse wheel to scroll
• Choose how many lines to scroll each time
  

Method 2:

Step 1: As you are using touchpad, I suggest you to use different mouse to different ports and check if it helps.

Step 2: I suggest you to boot the computer to Safe mode and check if the issue persists.

Are you have Windows 10 Education installed?

To find out if you have the right edition installed:

Click Start > Settings > Update & security > Activation > Edition.

If you don't have the right edition installed, you will need to download and install it.

Step 1:

Download Windows 10 Education ISO files

If you attend a college or university, your institution might provide you with the Education edition of Windows 10. If you are only provided with a license (product key), you can download the .ISO file from the Microsoft Download Academic Products website.

Go to the following link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/vlacademicISO





Scroll down then enter your Windows 10 Education product key, then click verify





Step 2: Create a bootable copy:

Minor suggestion for Check for updates

No, I know that. Exactly where I suggest this to be changed, please note.
Sorry for not being clear.

The Check for updates small window currently does not show what I ask to be added - program version. Please consider adding this. Many other programs have this, so I suggest for GPU-Z to have it too.
