Windows 10: Why can't I see the imported pdf that previously had no issues?

Hi, I've been using Microsoft Journal to take notes in vet school. It's been super useful to be able to download the lecture PowerPoints, convert them to pdfs, import them into Microsoft Journal, and write my notes overtop of them. I hadn't had an issue until now. When I went to review my notes today, I was still able to see what I had written/highlighted over the pdf, but the pdf I had imported was gone. The page itself still had a greyed-out background rather than the default lined paper design, so it definitely still recognizes that a pdf was there, but it's completely invisible.I tried clo

Print to PDF missing in Printer List

Hi William,

We suggest that you disable and re-enable the Print to PDF feature. Here are the steps:

• Click on the Start menu and type in Windows Features.
• Choose Turn Windows features on or off.
• On the next window, find Microsoft Print to PDF and disable it. Click
  OK to save changes.
• Restart your PC.
• Repeat the same steps to re-enable Microsoft Print to PDF.

Trouble Opening PDF's

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

• Does the issue persist in Edge browser?
• Do you get similar error when you open the PDF file in Adobe reader?

Check if you are facing similar issue in Edge browser.



Step 1: Open PDF file in Adobe reader and check if you are facing similar issue.



To open PDF file directly from Adobe reader, follow the steps below:

• Open Adobe application and click on Edit.
• Click on Preferences and select Internet.
• Uncheck Display PDF in Browser option and check if you are able to open the PDF file without getting the error code.

Step 2: If you are able to open PDF file in Adobe reader, I suggest you to
Turn off Internet Explorer,
enable it again and check if the issue is resolved.
