Windows 10: why cant i send text message from your phone companion to contacts not in my address book...

HiI use a samsung galaxy s21 ultra qndroid 12, and windows 10 and 11.I can create a new SMS from your phone companion on the PC for contacts that is in my address book on the phone, but why cant i send text message from your phone companion to contacts not in my address book on the phone?thanksNolan

Cannot add contacts personal folders to address book in Outlook 2016

Many thanks for all your suggestions, HippsieGypsie, but nothing seems to be working. I cannot delete my folder so I have to keep trying to get it included in the list of available address books. My contacts are all in the Contacts - Personal Folders, but this list is not included amongst those offered by Outlook as a default address book.

 

sending text message, lists contact twice

Hi Billy,

yesterday the strangest thing happened when I tried to send a text, some numbers were being formatted incorrectly with a +44 and 0 before the number, I checked my address book and the contact was correctly listed as +44number. My wife said skype causes her
lots of issues with contacts and suggested uninstalling; I did that and texting worked as expected.

This morning, my phone deleted all my contacts, I found that when I tried to send a text, after looking at my email inbox I realised an update must have occurred as I was shown the 'focused/other' message. I went back into the address book and the contacts
started to be reinstated, I could see them trickle in as the WiFi flashed.

Great I thought, contacts shown twice problem gone, alas not though. I still have not reset to factory issue as I don't believe it will help and my phone is setup. This double listing of contacts is a very weird one and although skype is still not installed
I think the issue is being influenced by it.

How to send an email that a phone receives as a text?

At my office, we want to have the ability to communicate with our electricians who are fairly low tech people. They don't check emails often, but text messaging would work fine for our need. I know with Verizon and Sprint you can using the text messaging app on the phone to text an email, and then if you reply to say L: 9995724770@VTEXT.COM that email will go to the phone as a text message.

Short of having all the electricians text an email to get these addresses, is there an easier way to go about this? I've never really dealt with mass texting before. Is say a Droid phone capable of sending a text to 40 people?
