Windows 10: Why can't I sign in to Microsoft Solitaire Collection with my Microsoft Account?

When I sign in to Microsoft Solitaire Collection, the following open in a pop-up window:​

You’re signed in to this game on another device.​

What would you like to do? This will sign you out of the other device.​

When I select Sign in here, the Main Menu opens as usual and I am signed in to my Microsoft Account; however, when I select a game to play, the game opens momentarily then a box opens that says:​

User Signed Out​

You were signed out of XBox Live from​

outside Microsoft Solitaire Collection. We​

need to return you to the main menu to sign​

in again.​

When I sign in again, the same thing happens. If I choose to play as a guest, everything works fine.

This just started to happen. Everything used to work as expected.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection

To delete your scores in Microsoft Solitaire Collection, you can reset them on the game itself.

To reset, follow the steps below:

• Open the game, and then sign in to your account.
• Click Menu, and then select Game options.
• Press the Reset Cumulative Score button.
• Hit Continue.

There are a lot of possible reasons why you are having this issue, one of the common reasons is corrupted statistics file on the account. To help you reset the statistics of your main account, we suggest
that you follow the steps below:

• First you need to close Microsoft Solitaire Collection.
• In Windows Explorer go to: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftSolitaireCollection_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\UserData\Guest\Statistic\
  
• Rename Statistic.ark as old-Statistic.ark.
• Then try to run the Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

The statistics file will be deleted, and everything will be set back to 0.

Step 1: Run App troubleshooter.

Step 2: Run Windows Update troubleshooter.

Please see this link for the steps.

Step 3: Uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

Click Start.

In the search box, type Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

Right click Microsoft Solitaire collection app tile, and the select Uninstall.

Restart your computer.

Right click Start.

Select Run.

Type wsreset.exe, and then press Enter. The Microsoft Store will open so you can reinstall Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

Step 4: Make sure your firewall/anti-virus isn’t blocking the app.

The steps to unblock the game (or any app that needs to access Xbox Live) will vary depending on the antivirus or firewall software you use. Check the documentation for your antivirus or firewall software to open settings and ensure that the software is not
blocking the app. If your antivirus or firewall has an app white list, make sure that your Xbox Live-enabled games are on this list.

Step 5: Clear your Windows Store cache.

Right click Start.

Select Run.

Type wsreset.exe and press enter. This will launch Windows Store with a cleared cache. You can check if Solitaire error goes away after doing this.
