Windows 10: Why can't I turn on secure boot?

I've been trying to activate secure boot in the bios to play Valorant, but no matter what I've tried it doesn't work. I've disabled CSM support and made sure my motherboard isn't on the legacy setting, so not sure what else I should do. I'm considering updating the bios, but not completely sure. If anyone has some troubleshooting tips that I could use that would be great. My motherboard is a Gigabyte h610 S2H, my CPU being an Intel 12400F if that matters. My motherboard says I should be able to open secure boot after disabling CMS support and setting one of the options to Windows 10 in the bio

So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?

Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.
