Windows 10: Why can't I use HDR?

For some reason, I am only able to stream HDR video, but unable to use HDR. This is frustrating because this is a gaming laptop:Tuf Gaming F15 with DTS: X ultra, Core i7IntelR UHD GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 TiEnabling HDR is required for better graphics for games I play but I am unable to enable it... How do I fix this?

Thank you for letting me know about the concern, I hope you are doing well today.

I truly understand you really like enable HDR of your computer. The possible cause why it’s not working maybe your PC and display doesn’t meet certain hardware requirements.

I suggest to update your windows first, please follow the steps below:

• Start > and then go to Setting > Update & Security > Windows Update

HDR support for windows 11

Hi Nadeem. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

I would contact LG Support which is included with the monitor purchase for at least the first year, during which they must get it working properly or repair or replace it under warranty.

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the make and model of the PC?
