    Why can't I use the "start settings" page to change to my partner's document set up?


    Why can't I use the "start settings" page to change to my partner's document set up? The message given is something like "Preparing Windows." Then the screen just rolls and eventually goes black. We changed to this computer about 18 months ago and used a Western Digital backup drive to transfer documents et al from the worn-out computer to the new one. I was able to move some documents from the old computer as well, but now wanted to combine things to save space allowing a smaller backup and less mess. Not sure what I did to cause the Windows problem...does anyone have any helpful suggesti

    Start Menu List - Settings

    You need to go one step further...

    Settings >Personalization > Start, then click as shown by the RED square...

    Start page is not saved

    After I went to a complicated set of steps

    Clicking ...

    • select Settings
    • select A specific page
    • select Custom from the list
    • enter my favourite page
    • removing About:start
    And I close and open Edge the default page is still shown

    How do I change the start page in Edge?
