Windows 10: Why can't I view JPG and PNG image files by default with my text processing program?

JPG and PNG image files cannot be viewed with anything other than a printing program. In the Windows 11 system, I can't view my photos JPG and PNG that I took myself with my own free image processing program and set my images as the default image processing program? Every time I click on a JPG and PNG image, it goes to print the image. I haven't looked for my own pictures from the Internet dump, but I have taken them myself with a digital camera. Windows 11 has again excelled in fomenting problems.

Windows 10 default image viewer

I suggest you to follow the below steps in order to change the default image viewer to Paint.

• In search,
• Type Default Programs.
• Check whether Windows Photo Viewer is listed in the list.
• Left click on the photo viewer and select the option paint.

program in the Control Panel. By doing this, you may able to view the file with the default program. To do this, follow the steps below:

• In the Search box, type Control
  Panel and press Enter.
• On the upper-right window, under View
  by, click Category and select
  Large icons.
• Click Default Programs.
• Click Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
• Find the extension or the file that you’ve downloaded.
• Double-click the extension to change the default program.
