Windows 10: Why can't I watch any purchased movies/TV shows on media player?

I noticed Microsoft recently switched to Media Player instead of Movies and TV to play the videos purchased from the Microsoft Store, but I can't play any of them on Media Player because they are "corrupted, unsupported, or the wrong extension". I can't even open the settings page from the Movies and TV app because it just has me go to Media Player now. I can't do any of the home remedies because I can't even access the settings page for Movies and TV.

I Have A Feature Request Here… Could We Add Microsoft’s Movies & TV App Integration Into The New Media Player App For Windows 11? We Can Watch Movies & TV Shows Directly From It’s New Media Player App, It Should Be Outstanding!

 

Window Media Player and Movies & TV arent working with internet conection

I realize that WMP and M& TV app is not working on your PC. I will try to help you with this issue.

As Windows Media Player is not able to access the file, suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if that helps. Follow these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on View all.
  

Select “Windows Media Player Settings” troubleshooter and run it to check if that helps.

Further, you may also take ownership of the file to check if that helps.

Follow these steps:

• 
  Right click the file and select Properties.
  
• 
  Click the Security tab, tap or click Advanced, then tap or click Change. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  
• 
  Type the name of the person that you want to give ownership to, and then click Check Names.
  

Note: The account name for the person that you are assigning ownership to is displayed.

• 
  Click OK.
  
• 
  If you want this person to be the owner of the files and subfolders that are contained in this folder, select the “Replace owner on sub-containers and objects” check box.
  
• 
  Click OK.

How to Watch/Stream Movies & TV Purchased Shows on Actual TV

The Shows are i guess on the web, as i usually play those from Windows 10 Movies & TV App, i guess if i do have to watch those on the actual one of the Computers, then so be it lol,

I must've spent well over $100.00 in bing rewards since i got Windows 10 on all that lol

The Movies i can watch on the tv as most of those work fine with Movies Anywhere feature lol, The Series Shows is where my issue is lol, CHiPs/Third Watch 2 Seasons lol.

Don't know if streaming them via Casting from Desktop to TV will work or even if the HDMI Cable from Laptop to the TV at some point would work or not
