Windows 10: Why can't I watch videos as a background process?

Hello, I cannot watch videos on YouTube through my web browser in the background, more specifically, when I have a game running on a different monitor. I suspect that this is an issue with how Windows 11 dictates resource allocation for background tasks, as when I am tabbed into a game, the video stops and the audio cuts out after a few moments, though when I press the windows key or tab out of the game the video and audio resume. I have already tried most everything to fix the issue, updating graphics drivers, ensuring that windows is up to date, ensuring that game mode is turned off, etc. I

Program running a background process?

I'm running Corel Video Studio 2018, and it's updates function shows characteristics of a background process:

- the program has an auto check daily plus a manual option for updates

- manually checked, presented with an option of downloading an update and Ok'd, evidence of any activity vanishes from the program workspace, yet the connected internet modem activity light begins running hot as the download happens

- it's repeatable over several up-date cycles

The evidence seems to suggest a background activity - whilst the program/PC is free to use for other things. Several software packages do this.

However, a check in task manager/processes, show all, does not display any info of a related background process for any Corel or Video Studio program. If a background process is being used by the software, MUST it be listed in the task manager/processes
list?

Platform is windows 7 home sp1 64bit plus the important patches.

 

Can't watch videos on Win 10

• What is the make and model of the computer?

Is there a software which can download and save the videos as and when watching on the PC running in the background on Windows 10?

Hi! Can anyone suggest me a software I should use to download videos automatically, without clicking anything. It would work in the background and does not slow down the internet. It will capture the videos
you're watching (YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, Facebook videos, etc...) automatically. Later, you will see them stored in a folder.

Operating System: Windows 10 or lesser

Worked best on: YouTube.

More details: If you stop watching a video online, it will stop recording.

Does anyone know such software?
