    Why can't I wipe my hard drive?


    I have an old HP Pavillion desktop running Win 10 that I replaced with my new HP AIO. I want to wipe the hard drive before I get rid of it.I've tried all of the options under the Settings/Update & security but nothing works. So, I downloaded software Disc Wipe and put it on a USB.When I insert it in the computer, select OSC:, this is what I get:Anyone have an idea why I'm unable to to clean my hard drive before I recycle the desktop?

    modder I already used kill-disk. The deletion is done, I need to reinstall everything.

    The best utility to use to wipe a hard drive is definitely DBAN. You can do an all-out wipe, or simply write all zeroes to the drive.
