    Why can't I write to my external CD writer?


    I have a Pioneer BDR-XD07S portable CD burner. When I plug it into a USB port on my laptop, I can copy files from the laptop to a disk in the external drive...no problem. However, when I plug the same external drive, with the same disk, into my workstation, I cannot copy files from the workstation to the disk in the external drive. Could the read/write settings be different from laptop to workstation? The external disk drive shows up in the Device Manager, and a Windows Explorer window opens when I plug in the external drive...just can't write to it. But, once again, it works fine when plugged

    External CD writer for Windows 10??

    I am searching for an external CD writer for my Windows 10 desktop and all the ones I've seen are compatible up to Windows 8. Are there any external CD writers out there compatible for Win10??

    CD Writer no longer works

    Hello,

    My external Liteon CD Writer no longer works.

    It starts to record, then ejects the CDs.

    I have tried CD Burner XP as well as Windows Media Player and various makes of CD.

    It works OK on other Computer and has worked fine on this HP Computer until just recently.

    Could anybody suggest a solution please?
