Windows 10: Why can't Win 10 supply any meaningful info. on storage

When I look at Settings/Storage and the details of Apps. and Other; there is almost no indication of what is taking up the storage i.e. whatever is listed adds up to a very small percentage of the "headline" figures so there are about 5gb of "mystery" files - on a 32gb laptop. The Win. C Properties shows capacity of 27.8gb so there is another or part of the same 4.2gb missing. I don't know whether RAM is included in the storage figures for a computer and an internet search was fruitless I presume it isn't but when you have rubbish figures there is naught but speculation.

How to remove a bad drive in Windows 10 storage spaces pool

Could someone list the steps involved in replacing a bad drive from a Windows 10 storage spaces pool? I cannot find any info on the Microsoft support site that is specific to Windows 10. Also, could you list the steps to remove a 'good' drive and replace
it with another drive if the process is different?

 

GPUz Incorrect Info GF117

I've got the GT620M in a Zenbook and the newest version of GPUz has it listed as a 40nm part whereas all other info on the web suggests its 28nm. Can you investigate, W1z?

I suggest you to update Storage controller drivers and check if it helps.

Steps 1:

  Press Windows key + X.
  
• 
  Select Device manager.
  
• 
  Expand Storage controller.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and Update the drivers.
  

Steps 2: Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue
is with device. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
