    Why can't Windows 10 installer install on my NVME WD Black? keeps asking for drivers


    So I have installed Windows previously to these PC. I got two SSD's to use on RAID setup with Windows and since the Motherboard manual said I had to reinstall Windows I did a format and proceded to install Windows but the installer doesn't find a driver for the NVME or wtv. I was supposed to install RAID drivers from Motherboard manufacturer and that didn't work so that means is the NVME it doesn't find drivers for. Weird thing, I can install Linux normally which I'm using for the time being. The disks are found by Diskpart but can't get to the disk selection menu.

    Windows 7 wont install drivers

    i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
    Step 1
    reinstall windows from scratch
    Step 2
    install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
    Step 3
    update windows
    Step 4
    install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
    Step 5
    Install GPU drivers
    Step 6
    go back to using your pc without issue.

    If you having an issue installing a driver that worked before you formatted or wont install on a fresh build, sometimes this means hardware damage

    Windows 10 installer don't detect NVMe drive

    I have 2 drives:

    • disk1 (SATA SSD, with Ubuntu 16.04)
      • partition1 (sda1: flag /boot)
      • partition2 (sda2: flag /home, encrypted by LUKS)
    • disk2 (NVMe SSD)

    So, the goal is to install Windows 10 on disk2 and boot it from GRUB (which is on sda1).

    What is the problem ?

    In disk-choose step, disk2 is missing. However Ubuntu 14.04 installer "see" this disk, so I assume that is software issue, rather than my hardware.

    What I tried to solve this problem ?

    • loaded Samsung NVMe drivers from this thread
    • patched Windows image using DISM tool by adding 2 updates. I followed this guide
    • tried to run Windows 10 installed on USB stick to install it

    All of them failed.

    Please help me to solve this issue.
