Windows 10: Why can't you just send the email to unlock or reset the pin?

Something happened and you PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again. Yes...did that..it won't send the email.

I forgot my pin on my computer and I tried sending a code to my email but the code won’t send

Hi up there : Just to make this understandable. Did the

code sent it to your "Email" Was sent it by yourself

or was the Microsoft account, who sent it..

Not trying to find mistakes here, just to make it easy

for the answer repliers here. What's this all about

• What type of email account are you using? (POP, IMAP or Exchange)

Forgotten PIN and expired password

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.
