Windows 10: why close / lock threads which are unsolved pretending that they are?

I have the real resolution , and this isn't the first time. Since I have been deploying win 10, approximately 2500 now complete in this environment, I can attest for many of the error codes the solutions put forth in a number of these threads are left un-resolved by Microsoft.


I have no other way to voice this, then to actually create this post. There should be an option for someone to contribute after the fact. So that when people do search later on.. they can get correct answers.


I will no be reviewing or responding to this post.

Does microsoft locks unsolved threads after some time?

I've looked to a thread about restore points of some years ago and it was locked but there where 18 people with the same problem.

Can I unlock it?

My problem is in viewing youtube vdeos the picture zooms to a small part of the picture as soon as play is pressed.

One suggestion somewhere was that the thread was locked which I dont understand and that I should unlock it to access overlay????

 

Windows Spotlight on the lock screen

There are multiple causes on why you're encountering this issue. To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest that you disable and re-enable Spotlight. Simply follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop and open Personalize.
• Open Lock Screen tab.
• Under Background, switch from Windows Spotlight to a Picture or the Slideshow.
• Click OK and close the Window.
• Now Log off and log in.
• Navigate to Lock screen and enable Windows Spotlight again.
