Windows 10: Why ctrl+s and ctrl+r don't work

Why can't my keyboard register Ctrl+S and Ctrl+R when pressed simultaneously? It only works if I press the S or R key first, but not when I press Ctrl first.

CTRL R not working

So a few days ago I found out that my CTRL + R combination stopped working and now if I try to do CTRL + R, nothing happens. I really need help because I play a video game that requires you to use CTRL + R and I've tried everything to get it to work but they all failed. Please help.

Check your keyboard keys:

You can test the functionality of the Ctrl and R keys on an on-screen keyboard, or an external keyboard, if they are still unavailable to rule out that it's your keyboard that's broken.

If your keyboard is fine, have you used any third-party software that allows you to change the keyboard mapping or shortcut settings? If you have, then we assume that the software may be interfering with the Ctrl+R key combination.

I recommend trying a clean boot which starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It can be used to determine whether a background service or programme is interfering or causing a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step.

If the problem does not appear during the clean boot process, we recommend you to remove any third-party software related to changing shortcut settings.

Whats Ctrl+Enter in Ubuntu ?

doesn't work , that's why I'm asking .

EDIT : NM , right ctrl+enter doesn't work, left ctrl+enter does .

Maybe thats because right ctrl is the host key in VirtualBox .
