Windows 10: Why, despite MS Authenticator working on my two MS accounts on the same phone, can I not...

I don't buy this 'security' argument as my 2-step Biometric is the same device. I have a bought subscription O365 on a gmail and a replacement laptop on an outlook address. To get to my bought OneDrive space I must logon to my laptop using outlook then gmail to OneDrive, and the effect seems to be that autosave can have a frothy over accounts and blank my file!Despite MS, when I logon to my laptop, I get O365: so they know the accounts are linked.Authenticator knows the accounts are linked.Windows knows the accounts are linked: 'sign in with a different account'.Aliases doesn't work because

Thanks, this was not my fault or mistake. I just switched to local account from MS account. It's very simple to back again to MS account. It's a fault of MS insider build. Afterall I tried as per your suggestions. My existing MS account is not removing from
the list. Taskbar start menu not working. Very bad situation. I can't get further updates.

Any other help plz.

 

Login not accepted for my MS Account

Let me explain, again, what I have experienced:

• I use my MS account to unlock this computer. No problem doing that
• I attempted to use other apps requiring the MS login, like Outlook, or even this forum, and it would not accept the very same credentials I used to unlock the computer
• I used my wife's MS account to login to this forum so that I could seek help
• I have tried resetting my MS account twice, and that did not work either.

I would appreciate suggestions OTHER than wha I have already tried

 

Outlook account and MS Authenticator - Disable Passwordless?

I was testing my Outlook email account with MS Authenticator app and when I enter my Username in the Outlook.com page, after that, I get a notification to Deny or Approve the sign in request. This is all great.

But I do need to have the option to enter my password as well right after entering my username (email) and then receiving the deny or approve notification.

How can I disable Passwordless logon? Under the MS Authenticator app settings there is no option to disable passwordless.

I still want to be able to use my password along with the MS Authenticator app as well because If I don't, I am afraid I will forget it. And also, I may have to remember the password in case something goes wrong with my account.
